Luckie and co
Birmingham, Alabama
The design for the new Luckie and Co office embodies the celebration of legacy and looks toward the future through a transformative workplace strategy that reflects their collaborative culture. Relocating from a 1980’s era office park to the vibrant downtown Birmingham area, they hoped to foster more of a live-work-play environment for their employees.
As a creative ad agency, the new space needed to facilitate idea generation as the foundation of the design. An active public space was created alongside quiet workspaces in an existing two-story building. This bold and playful makerspace is crafted to maximize natural light for optimal wellness, encouraging the sharing and collaboration of ideas in an informal setting.
Designed with the idea around where our people will meet, not where they will sit, a wider variety of workplace and meeting settings were introduced that focus on new ways of creating and engaging. The majority of the office space is open with private Zoom rooms available. The space is oriented completely around socializing in the hopes to foster a true sense of community and not just a place to clock in.
