The Redella Residence is located in Seaside, Florida – a community renowned for its elegant approach to capturing the character of traditional beach-side towns. The site for this residence backs up to a primary pedestrian route which connects the residential streets to downtown Seaside. The importance of this pedestrian route, along with the necessity of having a street-side entry to the home, required a design solution that essentially included two entry porches and two front doors. The symmetrical layout includes a central corridor that connects both entries on the first floor of the home. From there, a three-story, spiral staircase pierces through the rooftop connecting two floors of living space with an expansive rooftop terrace.
